FAQs

How much does therapy cost?

1

Investing in therapy is a significant decision for families. My goal is to provide evidence-based, individualized treatment that helps your child develop skills they can continue using long after therapy ends. By using evidence-based approaches that have been shown to work and regularly checking progress, my goal is to help your child make meaningful changes without spending more time in therapy than necessary.

During the intake evaluation, we’ll discuss your concerns and goals and develop a treatment plan that makes sense for your child and family. The initial intake evaluation is $300, followed by $200 per therapy session. The number of sessions varies depending on your child’s needs and goals, with many children and teens benefiting from approximately 8–16 sessions of evidence-based, skills-focused therapy.

How do I know if my child needs therapy or if I need parent coaching?

2

Individual Therapy — Your child or teen works directly with me to understand what they're experiencing and develop practical skills. You will still attend and be involved in sessions, but the focus of sessions is on your child.

Parent Coaching — I work directly with caregivers to understand behavior, change patterns at home, and learn strategies for supporting you child. Your child does not need to attend sessions and you are the main driver of change.

You don't have to know which one you need before reaching out. We can figure that out together.

I do not currently accept insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Insurance plans vary, so I encourage you to check with your provider about your out-of-network mental health benefits. I’m happy to help you understand what information to ask your insurance company about.

How do I know if therapy is right for my child?

Therapy can be helpful when your child’s emotions, behaviors, or challenges are interfering with their daily life, relationships, school, or overall well-being. I use evidence-based approaches while recognizing that every child is unique, so treatment is tailored to your child’s individual needs, personality, strengths, and goals. Together, we’ll determine whether therapy is a good fit and what approach will be most helpful.

Do you provide family therapy?

7

I do not provide traditional family therapy, but parent involvement is an important part of many children’s and teens’ treatment. Depending on your child’s needs, I may incorporate parent sessions, parent coaching, or family involvement to help support progress at home. I also offer specialized parent-focused treatments, including PCIT, PMT, and SPACE.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form or schedule a free consultation call. I will walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way to find the best services for you.
